Genius writing as always. I love how you can take a simple anecdote about being ill and really make one think how we priorities our health versus our commitments (very guilty of this myself). Glad you are feeling better. You are the real rockstar. Hugs and tea filled healing wishes!

I was just talking about how before a couple of years ago going to work or school sick was sometimes the norm. As a former teacher, I could really relate to this. Even if I or my co workers happened to be sick, we would push on teaching the young kids in front of us or attending meetings to make sure we were on the right track of helping our kids.

Teachers being out for a day or two certainly would not cost our school district thousands as your job would, but with constant substitute teacher shortages it was never even given a second thought that we showed up with an exasperating sinus infection, allergies, or a cold. Someone was always sick and if every teacher there that was inflicted with allergies and such during that cold and flu season had called in sick, there would have been no school.

Your hard work and dedication to the people whose job relied on your presence is very admirable. You seem to really care about your fans and co workers. I was fortunate to see a clip of the interview you did with the cast and I could tell you were hoarse, and the first thought in my mind was, "she is so kind to show up even when her voice is hoarse".

I hope you are feeling better by now.

I was the young lady on set that played Pat Pomeroy the day you finished the TV mini-series. It took everything in me not to fan girl over being in a scene with Aunt Zelda! I remember freezing our butts off on that front porch! I’m glad you’re feeling better. It was an honor working with you.

I was there on Sunday and it was clear you weren’t feeling your best but you showed up and exactly as you write - you pushed through. I want you to know that I selfishly am glad you did come because I only had tickets for Sunday and the Sabrina cast was why I went. I feel so bad that it was much worse than I originally thought … I can’t thank you enough for being there. Isn’t that how it goes? The days we can’t dare be ill, the germs creep in. But you’re a class act and this proves why you’re one of the finest in the business. You care so much about the fans and the money we spent that you showed up…and for that, I’m forever grateful. I hope you’re feeling better now! Hope to meet you again :-)

I was possibly one of the first people you met on Friday night. I was using a walker and I remember you were so sweet and the first thing you said to me was that you had a scratchy throat but it wasn’t Covid! I told you that the weather was messing with everyone. We took a great pic! I usually hate getting my picture taken but I had to get one with you. Thank you for showing up while not feeling well. Your fans really do appreciate it!! And unlike many, I’m sure, I would have understood if you were too sick to make it! There are many things out of our control!!
