Agree with a comment below. I always say those that preach the loudest have the most to hide. As a disgruntled Catholic I remind friends that Catholic Charities supports those that need it the most … and does so quietly. Thank you for the reminder we can all do more! 💕🌸😇 laura

I completely agree with you! I believe that God loves ALL! I have seen too many so called "Good Christians" turn they back on those who do not fit their mold. Darn, I wish I could meet Fairness! Roxy was such a sweet girl! Let me know the name of your new Christmas film, so I can be on the look out for it!

That is a lot of great stories in one Substack essay! I am a member of a service organization that supports veterans; the afterglow of a good deed never seems to leave me...I want to do more good deeds! I am so happy to hear of the blessings you have bestowed on others. The saying, "He who dies with the most toys wins," used to be very popular. That's no way to live...I am not going to die happy because there's a Ferrari in my garage. I'll die with a smile on my face, no Ferrari in my garage, and probably not much money because I gave it all away. Those of us who believe in the philosophy of abundance do need a good financial manager. Seems yours was a perfect fit.

I remember Ryan White, the walking and bedridden skeletons, and the judgment which is still around in some of the so-called "Christian" communities. Thank you for loving and helping the suffering.

May you and Fairness have a long, loving journey together.

Thank you for always weighing with such thoughtful responses! I am with you 100%! I do not NEED anything and plan to do my best to leave this joint a better place. It's important to remember that while there is a lot of evil in the world, there's also a LOT of good. Thanks for being on the side of the angels.

You’ve put a lot of good out in the universe. But the good didn’t end when the deeds were done, when the hands were held or hugs were given. It didn’t end when a check was written or a life redirected. The good is perpetuated by the lives you’ve touched as they pass it on. It continues now with the simple retelling and sharing of your experiences. It is uplifting, life-confirming. So thanks for that.

And even though you are not applying for it, I’m guessing Fairness would already recommend you for sainthood.

When my husband and I got married years ago I had already been married and divorced twice and had been making money. It couldnt conceive of having to explain what I was spending money on. So we agreed that retirement checks and SS monies would be mine to do with whatever I please. This kindness and understanding on my husbands part as been on of my greatest pleasures. I can and have written lots of checks to folks who need a helping hand. Its such a pleasure to tell someone this is a gift I dont want to paid back and we dont need to discuss it ever again.

That is a blessed arrangement. So glad that you are able to spread the love and help others. What else is there to life in the end?
