Good Heavens. That must have been quite the scene in front of Target. Glad you remained upright. That feat alone required an impressive degree of coordination.
Oh, the tales our pediatricians could tell! If they were still alive. Mine said he never filed away the “book” that held my charts. He always just kept it nearby on his desk for easy access.
Unlike you, my many mishaps were primarily due to a lack of what some refer to as “walking down the road sense”. My neighbor once asked me to take his Moped out for a spin. The idea was to run most of the gas out so he could transport it in the back of his truck. It needed to go in the shop for repairs and he would not have time to ride it himself after work. He did not offer, and I foolishly failed to ask, just what those repairs might be. I was tooling along at a modest speed when I realized there was no way to stop the damn thing without the able assistance of an immovable object. The small embankment ahead seemed a reasonable solution. Unfortunately, the embankment was more “able” than the bike. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! The good news was my friend no longer needed to transport the Moped in his truck since it then fit nicely in the back seat of my car. Well, mostly.
Another wonderful article! Thank you for sharing this very human and relatable side of you. But pleeeeease do take care of yourself. (Yes, I know. You’ve never heard that before.)
You are so down to earth, I love that about you! You give me comfort in knowing that I'm not alone on many things, such as the clumsy train. I hope that someday I'll be able to meet you in person, and actually be able to talk with you for a little while. Thank you for everything you do. ❤️ I am going to college to become a Geriatrics travel nurse and minor in disability dog training, in hopes to make a difference in the world, that is all I have ever wanted to do in life was put a smile on someone's face and make a difference, because in the end, we don't know what others are going through, as we are all human trying to get by in the world. I just feel that helping eachother, building eachother up is the most important thing to survival. Anyways, sorry for the long rant, I just want you to know you are greatly appreciated, and I thank you for your kind heart that I hope to meet one day.
There is no shame in being a klutz. When you give yourself, "the talk," can you hear whose voice is talking? I used to give myself, "the talk," until I figured out that it wasn't my voice, but the voice of certain adults from childhood who thought, "the talk," was the way to raise children. It didn't work then, and it didn't work with my adult self. Now, I'm kinder to me (and others).
Thank you for the PS on your post about the LA Metro event. I walked into a session that turned out to be perfect for my needs. Last week I took the Metro Micro to work...$1! I'm sorry I couldn't stay to hear your presentation, as I was already late for meeting, but I'm sure it was enjoyed by all. LA Metro is lucky to have you on board.

Thank you. I'm thinking about discontinuing driving too. I thought I was so alone on that.
No you are not alone on that. These days it is actually cheaper and easier to use transit and ride-share services.
One of your best. Falling -- is the diamond lane to mortality. Once again, you make us feel less alone.
Thank you love. xoxoox
