Writing about your first encounter with Fairness and his foster mom at the time, you told how on your walk that day you’d stopped, waiting on a “walk” sign, and the dog reached over and nudged your hand. Makes sense he chose you. Dogs know things.

Ellen Degeneres ( spelling looks off) once asked the question: what if we greeted our family members the way we greet our dogs in the morning? It makes me smile thinking of stating everyday with … who is my big boy? Or “ who wants to go for a walk?” I love the cooler nights when our Berner starts sleeping on the bed! 🐾🩷

Grand dog you've got there. And I get what you say about the mirror dog. My staffie Peg, like me, had brindle-black-going-grey fur, liked kids, was easygoing but could snap if pushed, happy to exercise but preferred to snuggle, and greedy. Most spookily, we were both epileptic and allergic to morphine. Go figure, as they say your way. Still miss her.

So wild isn't it? They really do have so much to teach us.
