Oh the joys of domestication. I maintain a very neat, orderly, organized home. Keeping that very neat, orderly, organized home actually clean? Well that's a different matter. Everything is in its place, but that place does not remain dust, dirt or hair free. I have four inside dogs. But two of them are cats. They just think they're dogs. Adding to the challenge of keeping a clean household, is the fact that not one of my furry babies will assist in any household chore. And none will accept responsibility for "accidents". As you say, we are all hearing a different drum. I'm on my second drummer though. My first one had a nervous breakdown.

Thanks for sharing your efforts and experiences in this regard. Gives me something to aspire to. Such a great article.

I just adore this for so many reasons, as always so many little nuances that make these antidotes beyond relatable, but also as someone who spit personality when it comes to cleaning aka work/home. I say this buried in a pile of IKEA duvets for future dresses as I attempt to organize the fabric collection I’ve accumulated over the years

my comment should be erased and written again as I wrote it on my cell and I can't do that. I meant to say without typos that whenever I read about cleaning I probably fall short of fanatic. Since my stepmother was that, and by nature I am casual, my childhood was a nightmare around cleanliness bordering on obsession . I have managed to improve by necessity but ocd in that area is repugnant to me.
