One thing that I like about this piece is its brain-dump quality. It gives us a little insight into how your mind works when you are unfettered by the discipline of regular serialized posting. It is quite different in tone and style from your usual content.
As far as your notion of time, I am reminded of a throwaway bit in a piece written by the late Marvel Comics editor and writer Mark Gruenwald. "Time is the phenomenon which keeps all reality from happening at once."
A lovely piece and was especially lovely meeting you on said Scotland ‘work-trip’ ;).
I would usually have a day off from everything else after coming home from a convention but hopped straight back to my work. That Monday after was a tire to get through. All the while wondering just how those travelling on a plane for about a day, were going to make it and keep awake! Exhausting, but thank you so much for taking that Time to do so!
Thank you so much for becoming a paid subscriber and tuning in to my column. It was a long way home after a busy busy weekend but I am ok. Leaving NYC where I’ve been promoting my new Hallmark movie and heading home.
You so appropriately use a Croce lyric to launch this essay. Beautifully done. Father Time would be impressed with your insights concerning such an elusive concept. But”If I had time in a bottle”, I’d probably just drink it. And then wonder where it went.
wrote a poem awhile back about time. it is a fascinating subject and you have added it to it colorfully.

Thank you, as usual, for all that you share.
Thanks for reading me and weighing in.
I love the Greenwald quote!

Grateful. ( and knackered) But grateful.

Ha! I bet you are not alone in that!
